Trust & safety

How vets every contractor.

Before a contractor can bid, they clear a structured credentialing process: verified license and insurance, confirmed certifications, and a third-party background check, kept current with ongoing monitoring.

Before a contractor can bid on bidRAIL, we verify the company and its officers, confirm an active license and current insurance, validate manufacturer certifications, and run background and public-record screening through an accredited third-party firm. Those credentials are then monitored for expiration, so every bid you see comes from a contractor whose license, coverage, and certifications are current.

The credentialing process

  1. 1 · Company & officers

We capture the business and its owners/officers, the basis for verification and screening.

  2. 2 · Insurance verification

General liability and workers’ compensation are confirmed, including coverage and expiration, with the contractor’s broker as needed.

  3. 3 · License verification

The contractor’s license is checked against the issuing agency for active status and standing.

  4. 4 · Manufacturer certifications

Certified-contractor credentials are collected and verified, with expiration dates recorded.

  5. 5 · Background screening

Background and public-record screening is performed by an accredited third-party firm.

  6. 6 · Ongoing monitoring

License, insurance, and certification expirations are tracked continuously, so credentials stay current instead of being verified once and forgotten.
